Levi is learning...

Airjrdn writes "For the last few months, my favorite show has been Survivorman with Les Stroud. Levi has figured this out and began using it to his advantage. He'll come get me and say "Daddy, mew, Leth", which of course means, "Daddy, come here, let's watch Les". Who could turn that down? So I go sit on the couch with him, turn on Les, and no sooner does the show start up when he says "Kiki", meaning, he wants to watch Mickey (Mouse). Bait and switch, he's learned it already!

Jonah is walking

Airjrdn writes "Jonah is definitely a walker now. For the last week or so, he's chosen walking over crawling to get where he wants to go. He's not overly steady just yet, but he can make it across any room, and going the full length of the driveway isn't an issue either.
Levi must like it too, because he's now asking for us to put Jonah down so he can play if we are carrying him.
Jonah on the other hand, seems to enjoy it when Levi is napping and he has access to him. He climbs on Levi, and is either giving him hugs, or putting him in a headlock one anytime Levi is still for a minute or so, which, isn't very often."

Lana is a bike rider

Airjrdn writes "Yesterday, I took the training wheels off of Lana's bike and spent some time running next to her in the 90 degree heat making sure she didn't fall. She had on knee & elbow pads and a helmet, but they never even got a scratch. Anytime she came close to falling, I caught her and held her up.
Tonight, we went back out to try again. The temperature was a much more forgiving 75ish and she just got it. She had a hard time taking off on her own, but she did it a few times and was riding all over the school blacktop.
She learned extremely quickly. Let's just hope the boys learn that fast!

Airjrdn writes "Today was the first day for me to drop the boys off at daycare with Miss Janet. Before leaving the house, Levi kept informing us that like Daddy, he was going to work today too. He kept repeating: Levi wook, Daddy wook."

Lana is a Kindergartener!

Jackie writes "Today was Lana's first day of Kindergarten. All summer long, people have asked her if she was ready for kindergarten. She has always replied "No....you have to sit all day, and I don't like to sit"!
Well, she woke up bright and early this morning ready for her first day. She walked into the classroom like she owned the place. She gave me a kiss and I left.
After school, her teacher said that at the end of the day, she asked all the kids their favorite part about kindergarten...when it was Lana's turn, she said "Nothing, all we did was sit all day!". I apologized to the teacher and told her that Lana's response would have been different had she taught them by singing and dancing. She laughed and told Lana she'd work on it!"
