First of all….still no pictures.

This holiday season was VERY busy for us this year. We had a whirlwind trip to Marion and back. Then, my family was here until the 28th. It was wonderful getting to visit with everyone.

Jada got entirely too many toys! We are going to have to buy a bigger house to accomodate all of her stuff.

On the 27th (my 30th birthday), I had a surprise visit from some of my family (on the Boien side). My cousin Jennifer, who has been stationed in Germany since May, was home on unexpected leave. It was a shock to see her! Stacey, my sister-in-law, made me wear a tiara that said 30 on it. She also bought me a cake that said “One foot in the ground” on it….you gotta love in-laws! It was a great birthday, spent with family…exactly what I wanted.

Now that everyone is gone, I have gotten the house back in order and Christmas stuff put away until next year. I am ready to sit down with a good romance novel and a glass of wine.

Pictures are coming soon….Billy was showing me how to get them from my camera to the computer…next step is touch ups and uploading.

HAPPY 2004!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Merry Christmas everyone. It’s been a rough couple of days here. I started feeling under the weather around the 23rd. The 24th was pretty much a do-absolutely-nothing day for me since I wasn’t feeling all that great. Mostly just stuffed up and coughing.

We went to Marion on the 23rd, and came home on the 24th so the girls could wake up and see their Santa Claus gifts. On the way home however, Jackie started not feeling so well. She ended up getting pretty sick, so I’ve been on Daddy duty ill or not. We’re both pretty worn out right now. Not to mention the fact that both girls have got it too.

In any case, I’ll get the pictures up as soon as I can. There’ve been over 100 taken so far, and that number’s sure to rise.

One of us will post again when the pictures are uploaded. Stay safe and check back often.

Lana went to the doctor on Tuesday for her 4-month check-up. She is now 15 lbs. 4 oz. and 26 3/4 inches long. She will be graduating to a big girl carseat as soon as I get around to moving it from the truck to the van! She is 1 lb. less and 1/2 inch taller than Jada was at this age.

She is rolling from her back to her belly. She can roll from her belly to her back, but she only does it in her crib. She is quite the chatterbox these days. She has just discovered volume!

I tried her on baby food. She absolutely refused to eat squash, and bananas gave her a lot of gas…so I will be going to the store to try some other foods. I started Jada on sweet potatoes, so that is probably what I will try next.

Jada is ready for Santa to come. When Daddy asks her about Santa she says “toys!”….she’s no dumb bunny!

Today is our first real snow. Jada was excited about it. She wasn’t sure what to think when the snowflakes melted on her hand!
