Today was a good day!

I took Lana to her 3rd eye doctor. He concluded that she does not have amblyopia (lazy eye). She is 20/20 in her right eye and 20/40 in her left. Glasses aren’t necessary at this time…he wants to see her in 6 months.

Jonah is 3 months today! He giggled for the first time today. He likes it when Daddy kisses his neck.

We went to dinner at Lonestar. All of the children were well behaved, and our meal was great!

The girls got a little karaoke machine for Christmas and test it out by signing Best of Both Worlds by Hannah Montana.

We all know Jada’s “One More Grape” version of “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star”.

Now it is time to learn Levi’s version of the song. He loves to go around singing “Kinkle, Kinkle”. He moves his little hands, too. It is soooo cute!

Lana has been watching the Phonics video a lot lately. She has started to sound out 3 letter words. She is doing a great job figuring out the words! She is so proud of herself, and we are too! Great Job, Lana!

I was chatting with Jada’s teacher after school today. She told me that she had Jada read the 1st grade word wall words. There are 50 words, and Jada knew all but 5 of the words. Go Jada! After Christmas, they are going to focus more on comprehension.

Something’s happened. Levi used to break lamps, throw baby dolls, knock over toy shopping carts, and even tear up the girls’ artwork, but now…something’s different… I’m not quite sure what it is, but, see if you can tell what’s out of place in this picture.

Levi and Baby

It looks like Jada Lana Levi and Jonah have been helping out Santa Claus by becoming Elves.

There’s even a video of them doing a little dance.

This time we’ve got some Lana Hip Attitude and Levi and Jada Wrestling.

This evening we had a celebration for my grandmother’s 80th birthday. She had many friends and family there despite the nasty weather.

Jada and Lana decorated a plate for her. They were very excited to see her open it.

We got to visit with Grandpa, Gram, DeDe, Jennifer, Uncle Rich and many others.

David and Dale are “sleeping the night” at our house. They will be heading home tomorrow. The girls and Levi have enjoyed having someone new to play with!
