Levi had surgery on the muscles in his eyes on Friday. His eyes are red and they wander quite a bit. He closes one to help him focus. The nurse said that they won’t be in their final location for about 6 weeks. He goes for his post-op tomorrow. Hopefully, the doctor will say that he is doing fine. The final assessment won’t be for 6 weeks.

Archive for May, 2008We’ve started putting the gate up in Levi’s doorway at bedtime so he’ll stay in there. A few minutes ago, I heard the gate fall down, and went to tell him to get back into bed. I knew he’d gone into the girls room.
When I went into the girls room though, he was in Jada’s bed, and they were both covered up as if we’d put them to bed like that. There’s no denying those two are close. And honestly, I prefer they all be.

Lana had her Preschool Graduation today! They entered the gym to the Pomp and Circumstance music. Then they sang 4 songs. We watched a slide show of pictures taken throughout the school year. Then the children were presented their diplomas! They all looked so cute with their gold star caps with tassles!
I told Lana that she was an official kindergartener now. She asked me if she gets to go to school with Jada tomorrow! It is difficult to comprehend summer break!
Jonah doesn’t sit still these days! I tried taking a picture of him sitting on the floor, but I couldn’t get him to stay there! He is constantly on the move. He is pulling up on every surface he can find. Not all of them are stable though, and he falls.
He also has one tooth and one trying to poke through. He is pretty much off of baby food. I think he is going to turn into a Cheerio!
This girl loves to sing! Here she is singing I Got Nerve by Hannah Montana using her karaoke machine.
We took the girls bunkbeds down and now they are both on the same level. Both girls seem to like it more this way. They have less floor space, but don’t seem to mind.
The boys are now in the same room. We wait until Levi is sleeping before laying Jonah down though. Jonah still wakes up during the night, but so far it hasn’t made Levi wake up yet.
I’m uploading pictures and kid vids while typing this story, so there should be more to look at in the next half hour or so.

Levi has eye surgery scheduled for Friday, May 23rd. He will have the surgery to strengthen the muscles in both eyes. The doctor said that he will see fine as soon as he awakens. His eyes will be itchy for the first 24 hrs. Hopefully, this will correct his wandering eyes!
Lana came up to me, brushed a piece of hair away from my cheek and looked at me with a very serious expression. She then said, “Mommy, is it okay that I love Jonah more than you?”. I then replied that it was okay. Then she said, “Because he’s a lot cuter than you”!

Levi gets his first guitar. Oh, and Lana needs her bangs cut!
And it’s twins this time!!!
Who can believe it? It’s hard for us to believe too. Hopefully this will stop Jackie from getting that “empty nest” syndrome.
It was a surprise for us too. We really didn’t see it coming, but the proof is in the pictures.
