It has been a while since pictures were uploaded. Bill uploaded 130 new pics last night.

We went to Dad’s in Chicago a few weeks ago. Jada had a good time. She made sure that Papaw and Gram followed her everywhere! Stephanie and I found a few items to help complete Jada’s room.

This weekend Bill’s mom was here. She helped me hang some stuff on Jada’s walls. We also redid the guest room. I am pleased with both. I am sure there will be pics posted eventually!

Jada is getting smarter every day. She knows her color and shapes. She can count up to 10 objects…we haven’t taught her 11 and up yet. She sings many songs. She loves her swingset. She is completely potty trained with about 1 night time accident every 2 weeks.

Lana is on the verge of walking. She cruises around everything, but she hasn’t taken steps away from furniture without holding on to something. She will also say “hi” to you if you say it first. She also claps her hands and says “yay”! She only gets a bottle if she wakes up in the night. She actually slept through the night on Friday!

This past weekend we went to visit my dad in Chicago. We had a nice time. The weather was great. We were able to be outside most of the time…Jada loves being outdoors. They have a large open area behind their house where Jada could wander…There was also a park down the street that we visited. We did a little shopping on Saturday. Mostly we just hung out and visited. Bill uploaded some pictures that he took into Jada’s album.

Today I had an OB visit. Dr. Rettig said that I am not quite a 2, but I am soft. I have also lost 1 lb….that means I am making progress! I go back next Tuesday.

Jada saw the eye doctor today. He said that her farsighteness is correcting itself. We go back in 6 months to have them re-checked. If all looks fine then, she won’t have to go back until she is 3.

Jada goes for her 15 month check-up tomorrow…the visit will include shots. She has an ear infection now, but refuses to take the antibiotic (I have tried everything). She may end up getting referred to an Ear Nose and Throat doctor because of her recurring ear infections.

Tomorrow, Grammy and Lexie are coming to visit Miss Jada. It will be Grammy’s first time driving to our house! Go Grammy, Go!

On Monday, Grandpa has a meeting in Springfield. Then he is going to stop by for a visit.

We will have several visitors on Wednesday. Grandma, Great Grandma Monaghan, Colleen, Devon, and Sean will be here. Grandma will stay the night Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday is Great Grandma Monaghan’s 81st birthday. Jada and I are going to bake a cake!!!

I’m sure there will be lots of pictures uploaded of Jada with our visitors….keep watching!

Since crawling wasn’t mobile enough for Little Miss, she decided to take her first steps on Tuesday. At first I thought it was a fluke. But, she took more steps on Tuesday night and Wednesday. She isn’t doing it a lot, but she is on the move. Once she gets the hang of it, I am sure to have my hands full!….as if they aren’t already! LOL

On another note…my Dad came by last night and visited for a while. Jada had fun with him. They played a little airplane and she tugged on his beard a bit. We took pictures, but they aren’t uploaded yet.

We had a nice visit from Rick and Ginger this weekend. Jada sure does love her Uncle Rick. Billy said that she was climbing all over him trying to get to Rick while we were shopping at Meijer.

I actually got to use my patio furniture this weekend. Ginger and I sat out there and talked a while. Billy and Rick joined us a few times too.

On Sunday Dad and Stephanie stopped by for a little while. They couldn’t believe how much Jada had grown since the last time they saw her. They hadn’t seen her since the end of June!

We went to visit my family in Chicago this weekend. We had a great time. Jada enjoyed walking along Michigan Ave. We took her into stores for the high maintenance woman…like Nordstrom’s. She may grow up to be a city girl! We also went to FAO Schwarz, which is a really fun toy store. I am sure that Jada will have Grandpa buying her toys from there when she is a little older.

Unfortunately we didn’t take pictures while we were there. We were too busy talking to think about it. Next time, I will make it a priority to get some pictures
