So much has been happening lately…

1. We are having no luck getting people to even look at our house, and there have been no offers.

2.  The contingent offer on the Summerwood house expires the 7th which is probably good because

3. I don’t have a job for next year…yet

4.  The girls are out of school for the summer!  They are spending this week at Grammy’s.  From all of the pictures and emails we have gotten from them, I’m guessing that they aren’t going to want to come home tomorrow!  Grammy is bringing them home tomorrow and then heading back to Marion on Sunday. The boys have asked about the girls a lot.  On the way to Janet’s this morning Levi said “I’m sad”.  When I asked him why he was sad, he told me that he misses Jada and Lana.

5. The boys love mud.  I know, big surprise, right?!  We have had a lot of rain lately and there is a mud puddle/pit that just doesn’t want to dry up.  Every day the boys have their cars going through it.  I bought them sandals last weekend and they have been a godsend..it is so much easier to wash those every night than it was the gym shoes!

6.  We are trying to plan some things for the summer.  Lana wants to go to Chicago for her birthday.  We are also trying to coordinate a trip to Holiday World with my brother and his family.  And, we are planning a weekend at their house in August.

7.  Bill got an iPad as a late birthday gift….it has become another appendage…

8. Levi turns 4 in a few weeks….time sure does fly!

I take the boys to daycare Monday through Friday.  Every day on the way to daycare, Levi says he’s going to Grammy’s house.  I don’t think he’s missed a day yet.  Sometimes he says we’re going to Miss Janet’s house, and when we leave there we’re going to Grammy’s house.  Other times, he denies that we’re going to Miss Janet’s house and says we’re going straight to Grammy’s.

The other day, he said he likes going to Grammy’s house because she always gives him hugs and kisses.  I really can’t imagine her arguing with that, so we’ll just post it here as fact. :)

It’s Grammy time. Levi has been wanting to see her for weeks. When I picked the boys up from daycare, he was ready to go home and see his Grammy.

It’s bedtime, and Levi was just saying “We go sleeping, go Grammy’s house.  Grammy be happy.”.  I laughed, gave him a hug, and said “She would be baby.”.

I’m not sure what triggered it, but for whatever reason, Jada has sent emails to both Grammy and Daddy about Grammy’s visit.  The one to Grammy was to thank her for visiting and the one to Daddy said she hoped he had fun while Grammy visited.

I don’t guess it matters why she decided to send them, only that she did.  I love getting emails from she and Lana.  Hopefully, it won’t be long before I’m getting them from Levi too. :)

We took the girls bunkbeds down and now they are both on the same level. Both girls seem to like it more this way. They have less floor space, but don’t seem to mind.

The boys are now in the same room. We wait until Levi is sleeping before laying Jonah down though. Jonah still wakes up during the night, but so far it hasn’t made Levi wake up yet.

I’m uploading pictures and kid vids while typing this story, so there should be more to look at in the next half hour or so.

Be sure to check out the video “Nancy gets a Wii”.

We were at Grammy’s this weekend….our first venture as a family of 6.

On Friday night, Levi’s ears started hurting him. They were draining with some blood. He was up most of the night, crying. I think Bill said he got about 2 hours of sleep. The same night, Jonah had a tummy ache…I got a little more sleep than Bill. Jada started with a cough, sore throat, stuffy/runny nose, and her ears hurt. Lana, however, was just fine…thank goodness!

On Sunday, we packed up to head home. Grammy wrestled with Levi and got his diaper changed. Then it was Jonah’s turn. Grammy was a little worn out from changing Levi’s diaper and decided to change Jonah on the couch. Just as she was about to put the new diaper on, Jonah had a blow out all over Grammy and her couch. We are still waiting to see if it came clean!

Last night Jada was coughing quite a bit and I went in to give her something to drink. When I looked in her bed though, she wasn’t there. About that time, she coughed again, and I could tell she was in Grammy’s room (the spare bedroom).

I went in there and woke her up to take the drink and I asked her why she was in there. She said she went in there so she wouldn’t wake Lana up.

These kids never cease to impress and amaze me. I know it’ll be a long time, but hopefully someday, she’ll know how good that made me feel.

Sometimes it seems like they don’t listen and don’t get what you’re actually trying to teach them, but every now and then, they prove to you that they do.

We have had people here, visiting and helping us out since Levi arrived. I am glad to have had the chance to visit with so many people. I appreciate all of the help from Mom and Nancy.

This coming week I will be completely on my own! Mom headed home this morning. Bill went back to work last week.

Jada will be going to a Preschool “Camp” next week. It will be every morning at the YMCA Preschool.

I will be working in the nursery for 3 of those days.

Lana is slowly becoming more gentle with Levi.

Levi is nursing about every 4 hours and sleeping about 5 1/2 hours straight at night. I pray he is a better sleeper than the girls!

Jada has successfully caught both Grammy and Mommy not paying attention when she’s talking to them. What’s funny is listening to them explain to her why they “lied”.

This weekend, we were sitting in the living room, and Jada began saying something to Jackie. Jackie nodded in agreement, but something triggered Jada to ask “Mommy, did you hear me?”. When Jackie said “Yes Jada, I heard you.”, Jada promptly followed up with “Then what did I say”? You could barely hear Jackie’s reply of “I’m sorry Jada, I actually didn’t hear you.” over my laughing.

That’s the 2nd person she’s caught not paying attention to her. Her first victim was Grammy.

With this happening at 3, I can’t wait to hear the conversations at 16!
